About Savvo
Money is hard enough. Your card shouldn’t make it harder.
Savvo is a Canadian financial technology company building a Mastercard® — prepaid or secured — and the money app around it. Flat 0.75% cashback on everything, budgets that coach you in real time, a clear path to better credit, and zero foreign transaction fees.
Why we exist
Built for the money most of us actually have.
Most financial products are designed for people who already have money figured out. Premium cards want your six-figure salary; rewards programs want you to out-smart a spreadsheet; and if you’re new to Canada or new to credit, the door mostly stays closed.
We’re building Savvo for everyone else: students, newcomers, freelancers, families pacing a budget — anyone who wants their everyday spending to quietly work in their favour. No credit check to start, no fine-print scavenger hunts, no lectures about lattes.
The card is issued by our partner Zum Rails Inc. under licence from Mastercard, and the app is built in Canada by a small team that reads every piece of feedback.

Savvo is built in Canada by a small founding team that answers its own support email and reads every piece of feedback.

Jane Jeong
Co-founder & Marketing LeadWhat we believe
Four principles we won’t trade away.
One flat rate, zero games
Rewards programs are usually puzzles designed so most people lose. Ours is a flat 0.75% on everything — no rotating categories, no activation calendars, no points math. If you tapped your card, you earned.
Coaching, not scolding
A budget that yells at you after the month is over is just a report card. Savvo paces your spending in real time and flags trouble while there’s still time to fix it — then helps you fix it in one tap.
Credit as a ladder, not a trap
The Savvo Secured card exists for one reason: to turn everyday spending into credit history. Your deposit sets your limit, every on-time payment counts, and the app explains your score in plain English.
Your money travels free
Foreign transaction fees are a tax on curiosity. Savvo charges none — you pay the mid-market rate wherever you are, and that’s the whole story.
Follow the build.
We write about what we’re building and what we’re learning — money habits, credit in Canada, and the occasional behind-the-scenes — on the Savvo blog. And if you want the card the day it launches, the waitlist is the front of the line.
